England World Cup winner Steve Thompson MBE says that he is relishing his return to action in the Aviva Premiership, three years after his last appearance in the English top flight with Northampton.

Thompson made his last Premiership appearance on New Years Day in 2007 and was initially forced to retire by a neck injury. However, he famously came out of retirement whilst in France to play for Brive and regained his spot in the England team. Munster Academy and Shannon flanker Eoghan Grace has joined Exeter Chiefs.

The versatile youngster began his career at full-back before moving to the front row and finally settling for life as a flanker… although he did fill in at centre when Shannon had an injury crisis last year.

Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Elosu has begun training with Chiefs just a few days after putting pen to paper.

The Argentinean prop signed the deal with Chiefs at the end of last week and arrived in Exeter at 7.30am on Tuesday ready for work. After being allowed a day to settle in, Elosu faced the media today.
